What exactly am I buying?
A 30ml extrait de parfum, composed and bottled in South Africa. Extrait carries a higher concentration of perfume oil than eau de parfum or eau de toilette, so you need fewer sprays and the scent sits closer and lasts longer.
Are these the same as designer fragrances?
No. AURALAB is an independent fragrance house. Our compositions are our own interpretations, inspired by well known scent profiles but not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to those brands. All trademarks belong to their respective owners.
How long will it last on skin?
Typically 8 to 12 hours, with 2 to 3 sprays. Wear time varies with skin type, climate and where you apply it. Pulse points and lightly moisturised skin hold fragrance best.
What does it cost?
Signature Collection is R140 a bottle or any two for R260. Exclusive Collection is R170 a bottle or any two for R320. Bundle pricing applies within the same collection and is worked out automatically in your cart.
What is the difference between Signature and Exclusive?
Signature covers our interpretations of widely loved designer profiles. Exclusive draws on niche and luxury houses, with rarer materials such as oud, saffron and richer gourmand accords, which is why it is priced higher.
How do I pay?
Checkout creates an invoice with our banking details. Pay by EFT using your invoice number as the reference and send proof of payment on WhatsApp. Cash is accepted on pickup by arrangement.
Can I collect my order?
Yes. Free pickup from 195 Wallace Street, Goodwood, Cape Town, arranged on WhatsApp once your order is ready.
Do you deliver nationwide?
Yes. Local Cape Town delivery is by Uber Courier, and nationwide delivery by Paxi or The Courier Guy. Delivery is arranged with you and the courier fee is for your account.
Can I return a fragrance if I do not like it?
Unopened, sealed bottles can be returned within 7 days of delivery under the ECTA cooling off right. For hygiene reasons opened bottles cannot be returned unless the product is defective, damaged or incorrect, in which case you are covered for six months under the Consumer Protection Act.
I do not know which scent suits me.

Is it safe for sensitive skin?
Our fragrances are for external use on skin or clothing. If you have sensitive skin, patch test on your inner arm first and stop if any irritation appears. Keep away from eyes, broken skin and children, and store away from heat and direct sunlight.
How should I store my bottle?
Cool, dark and upright, with the cap on. Avoid bathrooms and car cabins. Stored well, an unopened bottle keeps its character for years and an opened one for around 18 to 24 months.
